The U.S. banking system is on the verge of total collapse due to the gargantuan amount of leveraged debt within the banking system which can never be bailed out, so in order to take the American people's minds off of the rapidly collapsing global financial crisis -- and the social chaos which will ensue if institutional depositors engage in the dangerous proposition of a pullout of deposits at a time when a number of leading American commercial banks are facing imminent collapse -- and keep them fearful, disparate, terrified and disoriented enough to discourage them from participating in mass political action, the Bush Regime, in the person of Dick Cheney, is creating a casus belli for war with Iran by invoking the specter of an "terrorist" attack against America similar to the September 11th attacks on American soil.
