Thank you Ron for your powerful and moving message of truth coming from one who knows the horrors of war. Your words are strong and undeniable. I plan on using your message and reading it to the pro-recruiting/ex-Marine forces that show up periodically to counter-protest our actions in Berkeley. Hopefully we can convince them with your letter that we are the true supporters of the troops. One of my favorite quotes is: "You don't support the troops when you support the lies that kill them!" Many thanks for all of your support.....it means so much!

Thank you Ron, for your words of inspiration. I have been arrested three times at the recruiting station, and this morning, june 20, presented myself for my trial to begin on monday. The trial is currently scheduled at the Wiley W Manuel courthose on 7th and Washington in Oakland. We begin jury selection mon and I believe tues. Any who wish to come to support are welcome. It will probably be in depts 111 or 112 or thereabouts, you will see the pink. I was arrested last friday during a breasts not bombs action and charged with an infraction so that the message would be shut down without my right to a fair trial to address that very rapid shut down of my free speech(I exposed my breasts very briefly) It seems to me our notions of what is indecent in this country should be challenged--young men and women returning in the state you describe is what is indecent, not a womans breast--which are a potent symbol of life and connection to our mothers and the community. All of us are born to women, many are nursed (I nursed my children) and this joins us with all humanity despite religion or race. We are all vulnerable to bombs and poison and need water food and shelter. The image of breasts is terrifying to the military because it worships steel and death and pretends that the power to destroy is the only power worth having. Their way of approaching 'defense' of our 'interests' is from an unbalanced place and needs to be changed and challenged, and though I suffer terribly from severe debilitating form of PTSD (not from combat) I will try to make it through this trial. Your words of support were terribly needed, as the media takes every opportunity to twist and destroy and distract from our message of life vs extinction, peace vs war. Thank you very much for speaking out.
