No Trial, Torture, Solitary Confinement =
Is This the Price of Truth?
Whistle-blowing on War Crimes is NOT a Crime!
Free Bradley Manning now!
Calling all Bradley Manning supporters, justice activists, and people who refuse to accept the crimes of your government!
Come be part of an outreach/visibility event organized by the Bradley Manning Support Network and Courage to Resist.
Bradley Manning's court martial is now set for later this year. World Can't Wait and many other groups and activists want you out there with us: let's speak to the people and the world about the courage of Bradley Manning, and draw the line between the crimes of our government, and the truth-tellers like Bradley Manning. We demand an end to this railroad of imprisonment and court martial, we demand that whistleblowers and truth-tellers should be honored, not locked up for life!
And hey, it's true we are in the Bay Area – where everyone expects many more people harbor stronger anti-war, anti-empire sentiments than in other parts of this country. But what is needed NOW is for our numbers to stand up. We need to act, and speak, so that a whole new wave of people will learn who Bradley is, and know for themselves why it's so important to defend and support him. Outreach on the ground, and thru media coverage, is the point of standing up together at this event on the 1000th day. Join us!

BRADLEY MANNING is the 25-year-old US army intelligence analyst facing life in prison with a court-martial scheduled for later this year. He is accused of sharing with the Wikileaks whistle-blowing website many items of damning evidence showing the real face and meaning of American policy in war and occupation, in diplomacy and intervention, in many countries. These include: the "Collateral Murder" video of U.S. military personnel murdering Iraqi civilians from a US helicopter gunship -- the Guantanamo Files -- the Afghan War Logs. Bradley Manning is also accused of revealing US diplomatic cables. For the first 10 months of his imprisonment, Bradley Manning endured torture and solitary confinement, and only the resolute outcry of the people here and around the world forced his captors to dial that back.
