3,000 US Soldiers Killed in Iraq - Vigils & Protests on New Year's Day

As the Bush regime continues its unjust war on Iraq and even considers sending more troops, on New Year's Eve the number of US soldiers killed in Iraq reached 3,000.  An estimated 655,000 Iraqis have been killed since the war began.  On New Year's Day, vigils and protests are planned across the country.

Bodies of some of the at least 20 Iraqis, including 6 women and 5 children, killed by a US airstrike on Dec. 8, 2006.
