Typically we take Valentine's Day to show those important to us how much we love them and how much they matter to us.  This year let’s keep the people of the world in mind.

On this special day we encourage you to take the opportunity to give heart to the people of the world by supporting this resistance movement.

Give heart to the people of Iraq who are approaching 8 years of being occupied... give heart to the people of Egypt who are rising up in the face of repression which is funded and backed by our government... give heart to the people of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Gaza and elsewhere where people's lives are destroyed by our government.

World Can’t Wait is sending love to the people of the world by standing firm & by organizing demonstrations to the Iraq war anniversary. We're sending anti-war veterans as part of the We Are Not Your Soldiers tour to high schools and events throughout the Bay Area in March with plans for events in NYC high schools later this spring, preparing special new materials for high school students.

Protesting MubarakWe're protesting and tracking the war criminals, and keeping those unjustly detained, imprisoned and occupied in our hearts, and in our words and actions.

Imagine the difference it makes for people all over the world to see people in this country, in the belly of the beast, to be rising up...

Why Do You Donate?

“The World Can’t Wait is my favorite organization because it fights for human rights wherever a fight is needed. I particularly appreciate its work to counter the vicious attacks on women’s rights to birth control and abortion. I am also an avid supporter of its fight to end torture and the wars through the We Are Not Your Soldiers tour and visible, mass resistance.”
A high school student. Northern CA

“The World Can’t Wait, since its founding, has faithfully resisted U.S. crimes of torture, illegal wars, and indefinite detention. It was on the street the day after the 2008 election, when many were sure that Obama would work a miracle, demanding No More Torture, No More War No Matter Who You Voted For. A grandmother of three, I want to be able to answer my children and grandchildren when they ask me why I allowed these crimes in the U.S. with evidence of my actions to stop them. Contributing to World Can’t Wait is one of those actions.”
Brooklyn, NY

“I’m sending you money because you guys are relentless. I mean that in a good way. You’re relentless critics of the government, and you’re relentless in trying to get the people to wake up. Thanks!”
